It has been unusually cool and rainy here which I really like - it is a nice change of pace, an opportunity to wear something other than summer clothes. And, all that rain brings marvelous rainbows in tow. Every time I see a rainbow in the sky - it reminds me that there is always a new beginning, a new magical moment just around the corner. No wonder rainbows fascinated people from the dawn of time. Is there any mythology that doesn't mention a rainbow? In Egypt there was Nut, the goddess of the sky in her multicoloured robes; in Greece - Iris, the actual goddess of the rainbow; in Norse mythology - Bifrost, the rainbow bridge that connected the realm of gods with the world of humans. If a single rainbow is a symbol of good fortune, the double one (it graced the sky yesterday evening) is about trusting yourself and your dreams.
