A tale of a Carpet.

Under the banner of "Get organized, you will be leaving Baku in four months" I bought a carpet. Not just a carpet, but my first carpet ever. Considering that we have been living in Azerbaijan, where carpet business is huge - I am a late bloomer. I usually look at carpets, listen to the sellers' stories and then go home empty handed. This time a fish design of a carpet caught my eye and in my mind fish = happiness = freedom = good luck.
"Well", I said, "I'll take it home, to try it out" (Here you can do such thing - take an object (a carpet, painting) home to live with it for awhile, to see it in a different light.)

I put it on the floor and realized that it had to stay. And that is how the "Fish" carpet found its home.

The fish carpet looks awesome with your couch and curtains! Silly, but it made my day seeing your personal furniture as I remember you getting them and putting them up first in Beijing.

I thought you would recognize it:)

What a beautiful rug! That is so cool that you can "test drive" them.

Becky, I agree with you. I notice that sometimes what you like in the store, looses its appeal at home.

why do you call it the "fish" carpet?

Hey Gary, nice to hear from you. It is the "fish" carpet because there are 16 fish "swimming" in it. It's just hard to see on the photo.
